Estepona’s flower-filled old town, long promenade and new beachfront developments have made it one of the coast’s most popular places to buy.
It has the fastest price growth of the eight areas, up 17.1% in the last year and 186% over ten years, driven by new building along the “New Golden Mile” towards Marbella.
The old town is known for its flower-filled streets and squares, with the promenade, the port and the beach a few minutes away. To the east, the New Golden Mile towards Marbella has contemporary beachside developments in areas such as Cancelada, Selwo and El Paraíso.
Golf is close by at Valle Romano, El Paraíso and Atalaya, while the hills behind the town offer villas with sea views and more space.
Day to day, Estepona has international schools, a hospital, markets and a busy calendar of events all year, with Marbella about 25 minutes away. Málaga airport is around an hour by car, and Gibraltar about 40 minutes.
